Child Reading in the Grass

Welcome to Adventures in Speech Language and Literacy

Services

A speech language pathologist (SLP) or speech therapist can help children achieve academic success in so many ways!

  •  Speech Therapy for when your child cannot say certain sounds

  • Language Therapy for when your child has difficulty understanding language or expressing their ideas

  • Structured Literacy (reading and writing) to treat oral and written language skills using the science of reading

Vernon and the Okanagan: in-person service available

Across British Columbia: online services available

All services are provided by a speech language pathologist who is licensed provincially through the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) and registered nationally through Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC-OAC).

Let's figure out your child's learning profile (strengths and weaknesses) to determine the best plan for your child! Because intervention is targeted to your child's needs, using the components best suited for them, you can expect progress and results much faster than a one-size-fits-all program.
